Visiting Us
The House and Garden are open to the public on select days during the summer. All visits to see the house must be booked in advanced. Entry to the garden does not require booking. Please go to the "Book A Visit" section for details on upcoming dates.
Dorneywood operates as a private residence. Entry to the house is timed and an average viewing takes around 20 minutes. Following a house visit, visitors are welcome to stroll around the six acre garden and purchase teas from the tea stall. Card payments are preferred. Please note: refreshments are not available during garden-only visits. There is no shop but visitor toilets are available.
Onsite parking available. Parking can be arranged by the front door when booking if required.
The house and garden are wheelchair accessible.
Admission is free to National Trust members and children under 16. For all other visitors, admission to the House and Garden is £10 (Garden only £6)
Assistance dogs only permitted. Please keep on a lead at all times.

Leave the M40 at Junction 2. Follow A355 towards Slough for a very short distance. Go straight over the traffic lights for turning into the Services and immediately take the slip road to turn right (signposted Burnham). Follow the road (with care as it is narrow in places) until you pass The Jolly Woodman pub on the left.
Turn left (taking the second road of the forked junction). This is Dorneywood Road. At Littleworth Common pass a left hand turn with cottages opposite. Dorneywood is a few hundred yards beyond on the left hand side. The entrance is concealed but has a clipped beech hedge alongside and solid black gates.

Exit the M4 at junction 7 and take a left at the first roundabout. Keep in the right hand lane and turn right at the first traffic light. Pass under the bridge and turn right at the mini roundabout.
Follow the road through two sets of traffic lights close together and turn left into Hogfair Lane. Follow this lane into Burnham village, past the grammar school on your right. In the village follow the road around a sharp right hand bend with The Bee pub on the corner, keep The Bee on your right. Take the 5th turning which forks to the right onto Dorneywood Road, this is signposted "Dorneywood 1".
Follow the road carefully for a mile (it is very narrow in places). The house is on the right hand side behind solid black gates.
Public Transport
The nearest train/tube station is Burnham, from there it is approximately a 10 minute taxi ride to Dorneywood. Trains depart from London Paddington, Slough, or Reading.
